FT Obstetrics Manager. RN required. BSN or BAN preferred. 3-5 years OB experience, with supervisory background preferred. Must have excellent absence and leave record. Non-union. Reports to Chief Nursing Officer. Anticipates and identifies developing trends in OB care, contributing nursing practice recommendations, managing staff and providing direct patient care as working manager. Coordinates and participates in QI activities. Position is responsible for managing the OB department of CHA, including but not limited to staffing, maintaining CHA’s baby friendly designation status, coordinating deliveries; and coordinating education for staff, patients and Providers such as STABLE, NRP, BLS, ACLS, Fetal Monitoring certificate, skills stations, mock scenarios etc. Must demonstrate proficiency and proper utilization of the EHR, including proper documentation. Maintains and establishes policy and procedures. Promotes a positive, high quality patient care, team focused environment etc.
