Pintler Family Medicine

Pintler Family Medicine provides continuing, comprehensive health care for the individual and the family from birth to the elderly.

Care is both personal and comprehensive and not limited by age or type of problem. This care is based on knowledge of the patient in the context of the family and the community, emphasizing disease prevention and health promotion. When a referral is indicated, the provider refers the patient to other specialists or caregivers but remains the coordinator of the patient’s health care. This prevents fragmentation of that care in both the outpatient and inpatient settings.

Pintler Family Medicine staff include board certified physicians, midlevel providers and well-trained, experienced and caring personnel.

Pintler Home Options – Home Health

Pintler Home Health offers a wide range of home health care services in Anaconda Deer Lodge County. Our staff helps the patient make the transition from the hospital or nursing home back to his or her primary residence. Patients are able to recover and/or manage a health problem in the comfort and familiarity of their home. Our staff works closely with the patient and physician to develop a plan to meet the patient’s health care needs.

If eligible for Medicare and/or Medicaid services, patients must meet the following federal guidelines for home care:

Care must be ordered by a physician.
Care is reasonable and necessary.
The patient is home bound. Patients are considered home bound if they require the assistance of another person to leave their home, require special transportation or their absences are infrequent and/or of short duration.
Care requires a skilled service.
Care must be intermittent/part-time services.
Individualized plans for care and visits are established in consultation with the patient, physician and home health staff to meet the patient’s care needs.

Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy assesses and educates patients regarding activities of daily living such as dressing, bathing, eating and cognitive functioning. Our goal is to teach patients to become more independent and safe in their home.

Medical Social Work

Pintler Home Options – Hospice

Anaconda Pintler Hospice serves people of all ages who are experiencing a serious illness. We offer comfort, pain management, help with daily activities, support for your caregivers, guidance through care planning and decisions, and hope for fully living every day your way.

When to Consider Hospice Care

It’s not necessary to be acutely ill to receive hospice care. Explore the benefits of hospice care when any of the following situations arise:

Aggressive treatment is not progressing or is causing more distress than relief.
Pain, breathlessness, nausea, or other distressing symptoms occur.
Trips to the emergency room or hospital become too frequent or overwhelming.
There is no longer a desire to eat or drink.
Family caregivers need support.

Early involvement by your Anaconda Pintler Hospice team benefits your entire family, providing in-home support and symptom management. As the disease or illness progresses, so will the intensity of care and team involvement.

Your Hospice Care Team

Illness affects much more than physical health alone, so our experienced and highly skilled hospice team focuses on the whole person, not just the disease. We’re committed to providing you with the highest quality of care. In our hospice, you are the leader of your care team – you can choose and customize the services you need as conditions change, including:

Physician-directed care by your family doctor and/or our hospice medical director
Skilled nursing visits for pain management and ongoing health needs
Care that is accessible at any time – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Teaching for family and friends on providing care as needs change
Home health aides that maintains dignity and independence through simple but essential activities such as bathing, dressing, and other everyday tasks
Social services support for accessing community resources and coping with the effects of illness
Spiritual support for your personal beliefs, practices, and needs
Volunteer services for companionship and family relief
Bereavement support and counseling

Anaconda Pintler Hospice is a local, non-profit organization providing services to patients and families based upon need. No one is ever denied care because of an inability to pay. Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance companies may cover the costs of hospice care. When needed, services are provided through the generous donations given to our charitable foundation, Friends of Hospice. We are your local, non-profit hospice, and any funds that remain after expenses go to patient care and community programs, not investors.
