Community Nursing Home of Anaconda

OUR HOME is located in the heart of historic Anaconda, MT. "Where Main Street meets the mountains."

Community Nursing Home of Anaconda is a 62-bed facility licensed by Medicare, Medicaid and the Veteran's Administration. Eleven beds are located in the Special Care Unit designed especially for those residents with more advanced dementia such as Alzheimer's disease. Respite care is also available.

Our Residents enjoy regular exercise programs tailored for them. They Find the physical and social benefits very satisfying. Our Nursing Staff also hold an exercise program at the Anaconda Metcalf Center each week. This is open to any community members. Check for times, ask Julie, Joanie or Cammie.

Courtyard concerts-Dining on the patio-Golf putting tournament-Wii bowling-Outings to restaurants-Fishing trips-Picnics in area parks-Excursions to:Lost Creek Park, Washoe Park, Georgetown, Fairmont Hot Springs-Movies at Washoe Theatre-Visits in the court yard-Drumming circle-Variety of religious services-Bingo-Games-Special community events-Library trips-"Art In The Heart Group-Creative crafts-plus our regular birthday parties, tea parties and seasonal extravaganza's for residents, family and friends.

Dementia Care Givers Support Group:

Nursing staff and our social worker facilitate regular meetings for Dementia Care Givers in our community. The purpose is to provide support, education and resources for care givers. Call Mary at 563-8418

We must honor and respect that each resident is a member of the facility family as well as a member of a larger family that includes personal family and community.
