Financial Assistance

The Financial Assistance department helps designate accounts eligible for financial Assistance discounts.

Each year the Financial Assistance guidelines are updated to reflect the current Federal Family Poverty Income Guidelines, as published by the US Dept. of Health and Human Services. All Patients that fall within 230% of the guidelines are eligible for discounted services under the CHA Financial Assistance program. Depending upon family size and income level, discounts are provided for 1% to 100% of the balances owing. For example, a family of four with an annual income of $39,500 will receive an 80% discount. An application and financial verification of income are required before discounting. View the chart of 2023 Financial Assistance Guidelines or download the 2023 Community Hospital of Anaconda Financial Assistance Application.

Information required for the application process includes tax returns, check stubs, Medicaid denials, bank statements and any other pertinent financial information that may indicate financial need.

If a patient does not qualify for financial assistance under these guidelines, other programs may be available to provide assistance.

Please contact our Patient Access and Financial Advisor via email or by phone at (406) 563-8526 for further information regarding these programs or other assistance. They can help you with payment arrangements, financial counseling, or discount and financial assistance questions. You may also stop by the Hospital Business Office for an appointment.
